Road Trip Day 3, Blue Ridge Parkway

If you want to catch up on our Road Trip, you can do so here
(Day 1 flying to the upper 48, Day 1 retake, Day 2 part 1 Biltmore Estate, Day 2 part 2 Campfire Lodgings)

It would be the understatement of the year to just say that I took a lot of pictures on the Blue Ridge Parkway, it was BEAUTIFUL!!!

We don’t get to see much change in temperature and weather where we live (it is either sunny and hot… or rainy and hot…) so we loved that we were able to drive in and out of the clouds and the temperature was in the low 60’s. It was PERFECT!! I’m guessing that we missed out on a few of the views because of cloud coverage but it was still a breath taking drive.

We spent about 4 hours driving North on the Parkway and between the winding roads, me excitedly yelling “pull over at this scenic over look too!!!” about avery 5 minutes and occasionally getting stuck behind a car that was slowing down to look more than us… we only made it about 90 miles. But it was a beautiful 90 miles. Here is a map of the portion that we drove.

So with out further delay, here are the pictures.

  1. It’s hard to beat the blue ridge mountains. I loved my time at ASU! Great photos by the way! I especially like the ones of you hanging out the window!
